We might be running a type of One Day ICT school next year. It could have multi talented multi-level kids (year 2-6). We want the kids to operate in an online environment and have some hardware available to them in an ongoing way so the learning carries on outside the "one day".
Could I base this totally in Mahara? I want to avoid Moodles if possible. Ideas and advice?
Does anyone know of the best way to either buy a class set of netbooks or lease at a reasonable cost? Who could I approach to offset the costs?
Danella, you might like to get in touch with Pania who is the Principal at enrich down in Invercargill, http://enrich.net.nz as they run two days of specialized ICT workshops every week and do amazing work!! can't wait for you to add this to the e-Central Blog, let me know if you have any dramas, K
ReplyDeleteMy nephew went to e-time in Christchurch and really loved it. This is the link to their website http://www.etime.co.nz/WebSpace/20/
ReplyDeleteI could talk to him and ask him what sort of stuff they did.
Thanks Karla. I like the set up of their page with blog links etc. I could make one like that - a school within a school.
ReplyDeleteLouise, is your nephew's course an ICT based course or classroom based? Do they need a laptop to attend?
